Circumventing Internet access control systems with web proxies to access unauthorized web sites is a violation of school computer usage policy. You will get suspended and/or banned from using school computers when you get caught. Use school computers for school work, and myspace can wait until you get home. Do you really want your teachers and school administrators knowing what you are posting on myspace anyways?

Trust me, the other people here are right--they blocked it for a reason.

When you're in high school or grade school you hate it when the administration blocks websites and does things you think are crap, but when you get into college you'll end up like me wishing you spent less time on worthless things like MySpace and AOL and more time focusing.

Trust me, I was the same way, I found workarounds to get on AIM and to play games while at school--even snuck in my portable game gear and played it when I could.

School sucks but in the big picture, MySpace is not worth the time.

Part A - learn to spell

Part B - because myspace was blocked for a reason so don't attempt to get into myspace at school

that's what school is for is to learn and not to screw around in places like myspace

You should be studying, not surfing the Internet, going to Myspace, reading email, etc.

Trying to use proxies to bypass your school's security system most likely violates your school's acceptable use policy.

MySpace has a history of unleashing spyware and worms. I suggest you follow the links below to help you understand why these types of sites are blocked. I have personally had to remove key loggers, root kits, and bot net clients that were obtained during visits to MySpace. Who knows where the stolen keystrokes were being sent. Your network administrators do not want these on any of their network computers.

The programs used to block these sites do a lot more than simply block sites. They also monitor and log Internet activity. If your school decides to examine the log, it would be a very simple matter of catching you.

This would be more trouble than it is worth. You could have all Internet privileges denied or worse. And yes, Internet access at school is a privilege, not a right.

Save the frivolous Internet activity for when you get home and your homework and chores are finished.

STOP WASTING MY HARD EARNED TAX DOLLARS AND GET BACK TO STUDYING!

Well of course they blocked it! This is school where you learn not home where you can do whatever you want! Think about it, they do that for your protection! That site is just you asking to be put in danger. It would be their fault if something happened to you on Myspace their. The parents would be angry! It's a good thing they did that!
