Hello, I'm trying to glue pieces of cardboard (which will be wrapped in tin foil) to my black gloves which are made of wool (it's for a Halloween costume, I'm going as a robot.)
What is the best gluing solution to ensure that the piece of cardboard doesn't fall/slide off when I'll be wearing them?

Glue won't stick to foil. Can you make little holes in the cardboard and connect it to the gloves with thread, like a jewelry charm?

I'd use contact cement to bind the foil to the cardboard, but leave a small patch of bare-cardboard on the back and use a hot-glue gun to attach the "panels" to the wool.

The BEST way to do it would be to "sew" the cardboard to the gloves FIRST, then carefully apply the foil to the cardboard.

GOOD LUCK

Hot glue will stick to foil. I use a hot glue gun all the time and I put foil underneath it to catch the drippings and sometimes it will stick to the foil and its hard to get it off. It will be time consuming but if you have one try it first.

Get a quality clear epoxy from Lowe's Do not settle for or try Super Glue.
