Legally, she had no right to give the dog away. She signed a contract.
But I also think that these rescue agencies take things way too seriously. I mean all they had to do is check out the family and house to see that it was a good match for the dog.
It seems to me that they found a new home for this dog so fast out of spite.

I understand her being upset because the home she found the dog was actually a good place. However, the agency has the rules in place for a reason. I work with an animal rescue and time and time again, people will get a dog and not have it work out. And instead of calling the organization to come pick up the dog and place it with a more appropriate family, they take it upon themselves to find it a home that might not be in the animals best interest. So, yes, it's a sad situation, but rules are rules.

My only reaction of this, is I will consider carefully whether I would like to adopt a dog from this kind of agencies. Some of the rules are ridiculous, and not even really consider about the dog.
Law wise, I think Ellen lose this case because she didn't follow the contract. Human wise, I appreciate she let the public know about this, so think carefully when you adopt a dog/cat from those rescue agencies.

Shouldn't those people who are still going on about this be thinking about the thousands, no millions of dogs that have been abused world-wide and no-one to protect or love them. At least Iggy is cared about - by more than one person. If only all those other dogs had the publicity that this case has had.

I think it's sad. Yes, she should've read the fine print, but at least she didn't just give the dog to just anyone. The dog was safe, and in a loving home. I hope the adoption agency understands that, and allows the new owners to keep it.

My opinion is that the media has spent way too much air space on this story.
And Britney is getting upset about less camera time.
