a certain smell. cant explain it but whenever i do smell it, it reminds me of my aunts house in venice, when i used to go there as a child. its not food, funk, or anything like that. its a pleasant smell.

listening to all my old music from high school, remembering what i was doing when i was listening to that particular song...
and the fall weather - those many nights of bonfires out in the woods, drinking pilfered beer even though it was a bit warm cuz it was all we had, playing car tag through the streets in town, this is my favorite time of year just because of the nostalgia...

My kids birthdays, anniversaries too. Also when I'm doing laundry and the little baby clothes I gave my daughter for her stuffed animals come through. Sometimes I take them back and put them in my drawer...LOL

Living in the house my grandfather built in 1917. My Mother was raised here. Occassionally, when I dig in my flower beds, I find remnants of her childhood. it is nice.
