Dave & Sugar was a pop-styled country music trio that enjoyed its peak success in the mid- to late-1970s.

Pop, but part of the soundtrack of my life. I love me some Dave and Sugar!

I'd say crossover because of Rowland's style. The trio backed up many country greats, so that crowd must have considered them country, or maybe they were limited to the songs they performed on a country stage. I think many of their hits were dual charted, country and pop. Not one of my favorites, but they are a good fill-in.
