I keep thinking that my boyfriend could do better than me, my job could do better than me....my friends...basically I feel worthless.

Can I really change this thinking or am I too old?

Years ago I went back to school to get my associates degree to complete some college courses I had taken 10 years before. I was 28 then and one of my fellow students was 52 taking some computer courses to add to his electronics training. The point I'm trying to make in referring to my 52 year old friend is that he opened his own electronics repair shop and is making a very good living at it even now as he is 74 years old. So one is never too old to change their attitude toward improving their lives. BTW my 74 year old friend's wife is now 44 years old.

Yes of course it can!

I think its hard for anyone to solve your probs meaningfully in a paragraph on here, but there is a scarey looking section in most large bookshops called "popular pyschology" under which you'll find a million and one self help books covering your exact problem.

Believe me you are not alone; you've probably just described the pyschological condition of about 90% of the world's population, the first step is wanting to do something about it :)

One things for sure, none of your worries you just listed are true (i can say that with 100% certainty without ever having met you). So don't give up just look for a bit of help in the right places and you'll do fine :)

at your age you can do well but maybe you want to talk to a pyschologist.
