No. It was closer to a family of four making $63 or $64K.

No it does not cover anyone up to 80K. Someone, probably Rush or someone like that, put that out to scare people and to discredit the bill. Secondly if you don't live in New York City, Boston, San Francisco, LA, Chicago or any of the other expensive places 80K is not all that much for a family of 4.

Only in certain states where the cost of living is prohibitively high and a family living on $80k is actually struggling. And yes...there are such places. Check out the New York Metropolitan area, the San Fran bay area, or parts of New England.

No. I think the number is 63,000 but a state addition could push it up to 83,000 or so.
