You are close. Since 8,882 thousand barrels are used that is really 8,882,000 barrels. You take 85% or .85 times 8,882,000 which equals. 7,549,700 barrels.

Your rounding and answer would be correct for the number of THOUSANDS of barrels.

7549.7=7550000 I think you added an extra decimal place or multiply by 8.5% instead of 85% as the equation indicates
