I just heard him say that we have the Second Amendment to protect ourselves and our land. And if necesary, it gives us the right to protect us from our government when it gets out of hand.

Of course that's true, but NO candidate ever says that outloud! Wow, I'm speechless. I like him! Finally, someone that might actually be on our side!

Is he a religious zealot, or is he just not afraid to admit that he is a Christian....despite what many liberals seem to think, there is a difference.

I like him a lot. He is refreshingly honest--I sure wish he were getting more attention on the campaign trail.

Maybe if he doesn't get the nomination, he will get picked as the running mate.

Quite a change of pace from Hillery Clinton who, right here on Yahoo said she intends to do away with the Bill of Rights. Thanks for the information, I will take a look at Mike Huckabee's page.

He's OK.

Not very inspirational though.

On the motivation meter, I put him right up there with Thompson who is about as exciting as watching paint peel.

His claim to fame is that he lost a lot of weight and his hair didn't fall out.

I am on the Huckabee train. I don't think he has a shot of getting to nomination, but I do feel he would be the best man for the job. I love all of the people on here saying that basically they don't want a religious man in office. Last time I checked religion is one of the biggest foundation blocks that this country was founded on. Religion is also exactly what we need in this country as immoral as we have become in this country we need a man with strong religious beliefs.

He is very charming, and it is hard not to like him, and he is from Hope Arkansas just like Clinton. However his politics are very different and he hopes to get the support from Christian fundamentalist, so he will cater to their issues no mater what his personal religion is.

If you want to stand up against the US military, the insurgence in Iraq has shown us that what you need is to learn to make IED not guns.

I like for the most part, just a few issues I have w/ him....anyway he seems more like a reg. down to earth person that understands us "middle class" better then most of the others....I would love for him to be vice president, but I am not sure about president itself yet....

Mike's a good one alright.
I don't agree with everything any politician says, their primary job is to get elected,so they'll say what you want to hear.

The ones I trust least are the PROMISERS,promise you anything and deliver squat.

Bill Clinton ran on a middle class tax cut ,won, and gave us the largest tax increase in history.

Yes, I like Huckabee very much. I just wish he was making more of an impact. He may be who I vote for in the primaries but I'm afraid he's not going to make it to the general.

He loves illegal immigrants - and he sure knows how to lie during a campaign.
