First of all, the risk of catching listeriosis from any food is relatively low. There are only about 2,500 cases nation-wide each year, and, although the complications it can produce are serious, it is not something that is common. Second, as long as the cheese was heated to 150 degrees or higher, any bacteria such as listeria would have been killed. (I'm sure the food you ate was heated higher than that if it was in an oven.) So, no need to worry. Congrats and best of luck!

Hi There,
Definately no need to be concerned.
The cheeses you need to avoid are the "soft cheeses" such as brie, camembert , fetta, that sort of thing. BUT if you cook them in an oven such as on a pizza or whatever, and eat them while still hot, you can still have them.
It is because of the risk of certain bacteria being present that you are advised to avoid them. Cooking kills the bacteria.
Something like cream cheese or processed cheese in a jar is also completely safe along with "hard" cheeses like chedder, parmesan etc.
Remember to avoid "soft serve" ice cream as well, and if you have a milkshake/thickshake, make sure it has been made with hard icecream instead of soft serve.

The fear of cheese is comparitively new.
Your odds of any complications are extremely low, though not zero.
Remember, mothers have been eating cheese for hundreds of generations and only recently have some small portition (believe me, NOT the majority) have stopped or cut back.

I would really not be worried if it was baked. The heat in the oven should have been more than enough to kill any harmful bacteria. You could always call your doctor and ask, it certainly wouldn't hurt, but I wouldn't worry too much if I were you.

You'll be fine if you give me the recipe, YUM!
The heating kills listeria as the first poster said, and all those cheeses sound pasteurized.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Women do way crazier things when they are pregnant, and their babies usually are fine. If you're paranoid about it, don't eat it again, but it's really not that big of a deal.

Since it was baked, it very likely reached the temp that kills that bacteria anyhow...don't worry about it.
