One of my daughters best friends, mum has been diagnosed with cancer and is havning chemotherapy. She has lost all of her hair, and when I spoke to her before she started she told me she would love some bandanas. I hardly see her now, but I know she has lost her hair. (she doesn't come to the door or pick the children up).

How do you make a bandana? Is it as simple as a triangle of material?

I would love to just do this as a present for her to let her know I am thinking of her as she must feel very alone..

a simple triangle would be great! Use soft material, or if u knit/ crochet, look on the net for "Chemo capps" or similar patterns to make/ knit/ crochet. About.com has a few patterns for u to try.I wish you well on this as I know it is difficult to watch a friend go thru this. I am on the other side of that coin: if I lost me hair, it is one less thing to wash and I can save $$ on shampoo. I am not that vain when it comes to my hair, as I have shaved myhead b4, and it was ok. But I can see how some women hate losing their hair. I empathize with her, and I wish her well.
