Just curious. I joined Answers a long time ago, and since those early days, many things about me have changed radically, especially my political beliefs. When you go back and look at your earliest answers (if you've been here awhile) do you notice any change in yourself?
Anyway, post your first answer from Yahoo! Answers (and also mention what the question was about). It should be interesting to see what the first things people ever said here was. I am actually going to use my second answer because my first one was from one of those "sponsored" thingies.

The question was: "Does Peta thinks it's wrong to own pets?"
My response was:
"Who cares? The people in PETA are complete morons. Do what you want to animals. If we humans are indeed nothing more than animals too (as PETA believes), then that means we have no moral responsibility to treat them humanely...go hiking in mountains and meet up with a starving cougar, I guarantee he isn't going to treat you 'humanely'. So if we're 'just animals' too, why should we?
The killing of animals in slaughter houses isn't deliberately cruel. Places like that can't afford to be deliberately cruel. They kill in whatever way is most economically feasible, much like other animals kill in the way that requires the least expenditure of energy, regardless of the pain to the prey.
Anyway, sorry about that little mini-rant. I just really dislike PETA."
Haha, boy was I fire-y. Interestingly enough, I still agree with part of that. Anyway, please don't comment on THIS, just post your own first answer.

Q: What is the history of fellatio & cunninlingus?
where did the practice originated from. China?
My A: There are references to these practices in a variety of ancient texts, perhaps most famously, the Kama Sutra. Evolutionary Biologists have suggested that the practices predate civilization and recorded history and have served the evolutionary purpose of making prospective mates aware of the reproductive fitness, (i.e. absence of infections and the like) of their partners.

The question was from a 23 year old girl whose boss/bf was asking her to marry him. She wasn't ready, and didn't know what to do....
My answer:
If you think you aren't ready yet...you aren't ready yet. Good for you for asking yourself the important questions. Please don't worry about whether or not it is fair to him...it wouldn't be fair if you married him when you weren't ready!
And just my last 2 cents...I think 23 is FAR TOO YOUNG to be married. Your priorities and who you are today will be very different in another 10 years. The reason that there are so many divorces is that people change over the years...better to marry after you've made most of your changes, and then you are able to commit for a lifetime.

The question was: "In your opinion, do you think it is easier to SAY/READ or SPELL words in a foreign language?" And my answer was:
Because my grandmother lived with my family while I was growing up until she died, I speak Polish. I also married a man from Poland. I never learned to read and write the language, however; but, when I am in Poland I find I can sound out words I see on signs or in newspapers even though the alphabet is different. I suppose if I had the training it wouldn't be too difficult for me to pick it up. My husband, on the other hand, can speak and read English, but cannot write it. He cannot remember how to spell anything. He spells everything phonetically.
So in answer to you question, I have personally found it easier to SAY and READ foreign words than to SPELL them.
Rather boring, I know.

My first answer was given to this question: What is 1 potential implication for the genetic diagnosis of traits such as intelligence & criminality?
The answer was:
genetic diagnosis will be done scientifically but what is intelligence and what is criminality will be defined or distorted as per the whim and fancy of the society.
For example, the genetic diagnosis for the trait of preference to non-vegetarian food may be thought as normal in the western world and potentially criminal (physical abuse) in countries like India.

#2) I'm afraid elves will talk to me?
i want to go to my friend's party on sunday but it's going to be outside and im afraid of the elves who live on his lawn talking to me? they freak me. what can i do?
Wear the well-known 'anti-elves' underpants! They save me from listening to them (elves) daily. It's horrible on the days I take them off to wash them, I hear endless elves. I've now worked out how to keep my anti-elves underpants on for upto 2.5weeks without turning them inside out. That gives me 5 consecutive weeks of elves chatter freedom.
S/He responded: WOW! U haev changed my life right there. U all had some good anti-elves techniques that i wrote down.

When I first started here, I called myself a misandrist. I didn't really mean that and I don't know why I said that, but I've reformed greatly since then.
I can't remember what my very first answer was. I think it was about what I'd do if I was dating a guy who was about to come back from Iraq.

Question was:
"For a first date should I take her to a movie or go bowling?"
My answer was:
"Bowling definitely. This way you have a chance to talk and flirt instead of just staring at a screen."

Q: Is it better to time travel on a Friday night and miss the party or go on a Saturday morning with a hangover?
A: If you can time travel, you don't have to miss the party. Duh!
Have I noticed a change in myself? Sure, we are all dynamic creatures. Change is expected.
