Why am I getting teased for getting my head shaved?

I had this urge to see myself bald and so I got my head shaved yesterday.Since then I am being teased by people around me.

Was wondering why?

Do you also tease when someone in your family or friends get their head's shaved?or do you support him for doing so?

Why do we now have to support hairstyles? Maybe your friends think it is funny, Anything wrong with that? If you look like a fool, do you expect your friends to smile and tell you how nice you look? That would be lying. You would rather have your friends lie (in the guise of "supporting" you) than say you look like an idiot????

Ive had many friends shave their heads in the past and i have found the first 2 weeks the adjustment period the hardest
(i.e. this is how long it takes for people to get used to your new look.)

Another reason , and i fall into this category, is that you just don't have the right shape,size, head for the shaved look,
some people are blessed with a perfectly spherical shaped head..almost like a dome which suits this style. others haven't.
Just resign yourself to the fact that if the joking is still going on after 2 weeks your head is probably shaped like a potato, deal with it and move on.

It´s possible that you are ugly but not ugly enough to be teased with a full head of hair. The head shaving might have put you over the top. This happened to a good friend of mine.

I think it's a question that's hard to answer because young guys are shaving their heads like they just can't wait to be bald and the older guys are either doing a "comb over" or getting hair transplants or wearing a "rug" because they don't want to be bald.

Did you shave your head yourself or have someone do it for you? If someone else did it, are you sure they didn't write a strange word on your head where you can't see it? Or does your head look like you should go to one of those people who reads your fortune by feeling the bumps on your head? (A phrenologist)

They may just be teasing you because when you first shave your head it's pretty white, this can sometimes be kinda funny! And it's a big change maybe they aren't used to it.....but hey do you like it? Cause if you do don't worry about it!

It depends on whether you are male or female. I dont see why a male would get teased by shaving their head. Its very common for males to do this. But females on the other hand, its very shocking, cause women are 'supposed' to have long hair.

people can be real stupid & the people who tease other people only have issues of their own & thats why they need to make themselves feel better by being mean.there is nothing wrong with shaving ur head.tell them to get a life.alot of cute people r bald & it just shows ur comfortable with ur face to have it shown without a bunch of hair on ur head.tell them they'd look ugly with no hair. be happy with urself.

no not at all .we inidans have that mentality and no body else.In america its a fashion and most of the gents who are going bald think its better to be with full shaven head than to be some hair here and there.and they give their look a different way like with french cut beard and all that .so dont worry let them say anything as i said u grow french cut beard and moustach and then see u r looks.good luck.

Maybe your head is shaped funny. Have you ever teased someone about something? why did you do it? because it was funny to you. you probably look funny to the people who are teasing you and they are not used to seeing you like that.
