how I handled this situation?
While I was visiting my parents yesterday, my mom mentioned that she was in the mood for Taco Bell but didn't feel like driving. So I offered to go. She took me up on my offer, so off to Taco Bell I went. While I was there, I bumped into someone who I haven't seen in several years. (We were never friends but attended the same middle school.) After the "how are ya" and "whatchya been up to" routine, she blurted out this question: "So, do you still like black guys?" Well, lots of people have always known me as being attracted to black guys. But, since I was never close to her in any way, I thought her question was rude. Nonetheless, I responded politely by saying, "Just one, and I married him." (continued under "details")

Then, out of nowhere, the irritating ***** asked, "So is it true that black men get turned on when your p***y farts?" My response was, "I don't know what vile source you get your info from, but #1 what people do in their private lives is none of your business and #2 I'm giving you the benefit of ending this conversation and pretending that you never asked this question." She didn't say anything else to me. (GOOD FOR BOTH OF US!)
I've heard MANY asinine stereotypes but not this one. Have any of you ever heard it? Do you think I handled the situation appropriately? I ask this because I feel a bit guilty that I didn't argue against the stereotype.
I apologize if anyone is offended by the question. It truly is NOT my intention to upset anyone. I'm merely sharing an experience that I had and asking for input. Thank you in advance for your understanding. ☺
