Globalization doesn't even work on Yahoo! as you well know. If we can't get it right, and we're older and supposedly wiser than our leaders, then who can?
That whole China got jealous thing is sooo childish. It really puts the truth to the things we've been hearing from our Taiwanese correspondents, that the folks on the mainland are a bunch of bullies.

Hi Justme,
I totally believe that in order for globalization to really work their will need to be more acceptance of diversity, and more equalization of import and exports. In the long run imports are paid for by exports. Any restrictions on imports leads to reduction of exports. Until the powers tha be in the U.S. Govt. gets into the business of win/win situations with global communities, instead of acting as a world order power house, I don't think globalization is going to work.

Whenever I hear of "globalization" all I think of is Star Treks prime directive. Some of these people and countries aren't ready for it. They aren't thinking of long term damage when our countries are so far apart. We are too young to grasp the complexities.....come back in a few centuries and well talk. They are putting the cart before the horse in my opinion.

Globalization isn't a project; it's not something that may or may not "work." Globalization is a description of reality, the clear and inexorable trend of increasing interaction in all ways between people and entities around the world. Asking if it will work is like asking if gravity will work. It's not something that's being tried, it's something that is happening.

Globalization is great. Everyone should be free to buy and trade with everyone around the world. This is freedom, and freedom should never be regulated by the gvmt.
China and the Dalia are different. That's just politics.
