when I hear that song, I'll Be Home For Christmas...

Tony (my brother) promised he'd be home from Iraq by Christmas; I doubt it... 3 years ago when he was in Bosnia he said the same thing but when he couldnt come, he dedicated that song to me...

Now everytime I hear that damn song I cry, I mean I ball my eyes out... Even when I think about the damn song my eyes well up... *sigh* maybe I'll spend the holiday with his wife and kids in GA.

:-(

I don't know how to answer that except to say hope for the best. Maybe this year he will get to come. You made me cry, too, and I don't even know you! I will never think of that song in the same way again. Good luck and God Bless to you all.

This type of emotional response it because you have a spiritual, physical and emotional connection to him that is very strong. Not everyone experiences this type of emotion.

Accept it as a gift from God, because it means you have been given the gift of being AWARE of the bond that connects both of you. Part of the crying I'm sure is also from the danger you feel around him.

There's nothing wrong with crying if you feel sad. I'm sorry that your brother may not be home for the holidays.

Honey, you're making me cry...

Maybe listen to it like a thousand times so you will get more immune to it, but the feelings are still there so you are subject to letting it fly at any time. just cry, it's okay.
