The prosecution team was either inept, incompetent, or both. They allowed the defense team, which did an admirable job of fogging over what should have been a slam dunk case, to focus instead on things like Mark Furman using the "N" word in the past.

That was decades ago, But it is being brought up again because oj is now facing fraud and burglary charges and domestic violance charges. He may go to prison for 99 years (Life) He also wrote a book called "If I Did It" If you watched Dr. Phil last week, There was a confession in his book.Oj Went into details how the muders took place, and how it happened. The book has not been published yet, Investigators are investigating wether this book is a confession. Back at the time of the murder's, There was not enough evidance to prove him wrong. Now there is this book, the story is quite different then how he told it back then. The Goldmans are trying to get it published. Nicole's family wants nothing to do with this.

I closely followed this case when it happened, and was shocked at the acquittal. The evidence was there-he was obviously guilty. I did notice that the judge in the case was indecisive and seemed intimidated by O.J.s "dream team" of attorneys. They essentially "took over" and ran the show. It has been theorized that the black jurors could not get past the fact that the cop had used the "N" word, and sort of let O.J. off to
compensate for all of the unjust convictions of black people throughout history. Whatever happened, it was a miscarriage of justice.

The cops did not supply enough evidence, OJ had a plane ticket and stated he was in another part of the country (I think it was Atlanta). The Goldmans then took out a civil suit and won that. However in a civil suit you are allowed to use hear say and other things to prove your case. I really think he had something to do with the deaths but have not really heard any hard evidence.

The DA office did a terrible job in handling the case, had too many unreliable witnesses, and the jury was not able to see all of the evidence that was avilable as his defense team got some of it barred.

A whole book could be written about this. But, it came down to a combination of factors including: excellent defense lawyers, incompetent prosecution, police department mishandling of evidence, and race.
