Most people would say it's a big round ball made of rock with some water on top. I say its more that just a planet, its more like a miracle because we are at a perfect distance from the sun, we have the perfect moon. Thanks to the moon and sun all together, we have perfect seasons and time ( clock time ). It has resources, animals, plants, weather, day and night, it can't be more perfect. And most importantly, it has life that can understand it, human life, the most precious creature that could have ever existed. Our buddies are perfect for our environment, and we can adapt to anything. Humans have feelings and no one can take that from us. If there are even more intelligent life out there, they must adore us like a treasure, they must love our art, culture, history, etc. So Earth is a true treasure and we must take care of it and love it because its unique and perfect. That's what Earth is. ;)

Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the fifth largest:Earth is the only planet whose English name does not derive from Greek/Roman mythology. The name derives from Old English and Germanic.
Earth, of course, can be studied without the aid of spacecraft. Nevertheless it was not until the twentieth century that we had maps of the entire planet. Pictures of the planet taken from space are of considerable importance; for example, they are an enormous help in weather prediction and especially in tracking and predicting hurricanes. And they are extraordinarily beautiful.

This question requires a scietific answer .Evey thing in thie universe has has vbeenin existence and nothing has been created .it is in the sence that th ebuilding blocks ot allmatter in theunverse have beenand are in existence and that they wer enefer created and therefor thay are never destroyed too.what is not created can not be destroyed .matter is indestructible only because of this .but the combination and permutaioin of the energy particles like the freely floating electronand protons have by interaction woith the microwave radiation ,craed all matters of diffenrt qualties and character .just like our makig differnet typesof food maerial with the same kindof flour. of grains .bysubjectig them to some processes .so by billions and billions of years the elements of which he earth is compsed of have been crted fromn the gaseous state . You cansee from the periodic table how the lements hav been changing from the gaseous stat eto th estae of metals by a progressiv eadditon of thecounts of /electrons snd protons in the atoms of elements .th eearth is a compound of large quantirties of various elements mixed up and compressed due to gravitational pull towars the center .since mass has henatural quality of gravity the enormpous quantity of th ematter of the earth has goiven it a great fravitational pull towards its center .This gravity keeps the air blanket from escaping the atmnosphere and sustaing all lives ,plants and vegetation on earth. But fopr gravity , eart would be a dead planet .

The Earth is a spheroid which is somewhat flattened at the poles relative to the equator because of its rotation about its axis.It is one of the planets of the solar system and has an atmosphere extending to thousands of Kms above its surface. This atmosphere is bound to the earth by the force of gravitation. The earth rotates about its polar axis once in 24 hours and also orbits round the sun once in a year. Its axis of rotation is is slightly tilted to the orbital plane.
Its interior comprises of an outer crust, upper mantle, lower mantle, outer core and an innercore at the centre.
