The reasons that we do not live in a state of undress are many. For one, it is a simple matter of comfort. Prehistoric man wrapped himself in animal skins simply to stay warm in the colder climates as He expanded into areas of the world that required it. Another reason is Hygiene although this reason was has only become recognized as such in relatively recent times. Yet another reason is of course societal conformity. All of the 'civilized' cultures of the world have some of code of morality that judges nudity as uncivilized and unacceptable in public. Because of concerns with lewd behavior and of exposing children to a subject that is uncomfortable for some people to discuss.
I don't believe that there is anything endemically wrong with public nudity in and of itself but as I have stated above, ther are other concerns. Life is not always as simple as you statement would protest it to be.

Nothing, so long as you live in a naturalist commune in a warm country!
Since you're asking that question, I'm assuming that like me, you live in a society that sees nakedness as some kind of taboo.
I would say that this is a problem with society, not with nakedness. What's wrong is going against the rules of your society, which will get you locked up!
If you believe you should be allowed to be naked then you should campaign for your cause and promote awareness - and eventually help change the rules.

We all must live with the consequences of our actions. Our ancestors who decided to toss on some clothes had better survivability in a wider range of climates. You can live naked in some parts of the world, but the expansion and success of mankind came with the help of learning to adapt and better ourselves with things not born of us. We began using spears because we were not blessed with a strong bite or claws. We fashioned shields and armor because we were not born with a thick hide. Don't trick yourself into thinking when we are born we are at our highest potential.

Nothing, nothing at all, so long as you live alone in an island. But in society, it is different.
One is born without cloths, and one is also born without language, religion, customs, tradition, culture, and civilisation.
so if one adopts any one thing that socity provides, then why not cloths since it is a social convention? One can be nude in lonliness, and one also can be nude where only nude people wish to stay nude!
