You have a fantastic time, im english and ive visited both places. Both are very geared up to tourists, and florida is a wonderful place for a family activity holiday, with its theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls. Vegas is a vibrant and truley unique place.

Americans are also some of the nicest and friendly people you'll meet anywhere!

Talk about a bipolar vacation! lol

I live in Orlando and Travel to Vegas often for work. Both places are very unique and have their advantages!

Orlando is great because you have all of the theme parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney-MGM Studios, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld Busch Gardens, Wet N Wild, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach!

Not to mention you are about an hour from the Atlantic Ocean which has fun beaches and great things to do (i.e. sailing) and about an hour an a half from the Gulf of Mexico, which has even better beaches, and are very relaxing and slow paced!

Then there is a fun night scene and some great places to hang! The biggest draw back to Central Florida is that there is not real master plan to all of this mess! It is very sprawled out and can kind of feel overwhelming and dirty in places.

Vegas! A great adult vacation! There was a time they thought they would cater to families, but gratefully that time has passed! In Vegas you have Cirque shows like none other, then you have world class performers left and right, every night can be spectacular! Everything is very close or a $10.00 cab ride away, and the night club scene is incredible! Last time I was there (end of sept) I went to PURE, LAX and a few others, and it was amazing! Off the hook, and just crazy!

The problem with Vegas is, that it is in a desert, it is far from the ocean, it can feel like they are sucking your soul from you!
I love Sin City, but you can feel them taking every penny from you.

They are both great experiences that must be experienced! But they each deserve their own holliday! There is just sooo much to explore! If you try to do them both you might end up feeling very overwhelmed!

Just a thought, but whatever you end up doing, it is going to be a blast!

Both destinations have much adventure. Florida, primarily beaches and Disney World. If you're not bringing childern, Las Vegas will offer you a wider range of activities and excitment. Vegas also offers you easy access to Southern California (beaches, Disneyland), Grand Canyon, snow skiing etc...

You can make more of an all-encompassing vacation out of Vegas; but you can't go wrong with Florida either.

To be honest with you, every Brit that goes on vacation to the US ends up in Florida. A trip to Florida is like going to Brighton in spring time (boring)
Do what a red blooded Irish will do and head straight to Las Vegas. There are tons to do and very few Brits around.

Excellent choice: two of the sunniest places in the United States. Florida has theme parks and beaches; Las Vegas has gambling, shows, and shopping..

If you have a lot of money I suggest Vegas. The weather will be warmer during winter as well as it being cheaper if you go to Florida. However they don't have the shows, the don't have the games, they don't have the fine dining, and much more.

I have never been to Vegas. Just isn't my thing, but I hear it is awesome for people that love to gamble and people watch! Florida is my favorite place in the world. There is sooo much to do there. Definitly do Florida.

You can compare weather between Orlando and Las Vegas by visiting these two sites: http://www.orlando-weather.us and http://www.lasvegasweather.us . Orlando is humid and stays warmer all year, while Las Vegas is dry and has higher temperatures in the summer. The rest of Florida is about the same as Orlando, in terms of weather, especially in the popular tourist areas.

do it as a touris Las Vegas is a 3 days or 4 day trip. After the initial hit and gambling it can get boring here. Also pools are closing now getting cooler to sit outside.

You will need to give us a little more information. Age, married, who's traveling with you, are you wanting nightlife, entertainment, shows, sandy beach or a pool with sand, Mickey Mouse with ears, Playgirl Bunnies with ears?

Florida and Las Vegas are 2 totally different vacation destinations.
