It already is, in some cultures.
{ I am multi-cultural; I prefer this term over multi-racial }
Bellydancers- gotta have some belly there.
Some of my fine black brothers prefer a woman
w/ meat on her bones.
Some ppl like a skinny, stick like figure.
Some ppl like a rounder figure.
I dated a man for 4 yrs, his cousin liked,
really liked Big Women.
And I do mean; Really, liked Big women.
It all depends on the beholder.
Your personal preferences.
Not the medias.
'Cuz the media goes w/ what ever sells.
My husband,
(well he's a looking hound, that's beside the point)
doesn't like to skinny, nor to big.
You can be thin, w/ out being sickly looking,
and you can be healthier, and not be considered fat / obese.
That's what he calls it; "healthy."
Before I came into the truth,
I used to say "Nobody wants a bone except a dog,
and even he would prefer some meat on the bone."

You have to remember that fashion is not only about showing beauty but also about making money. The bottom line is fashion sells to the young and to wherever there is a market.
Although some ladies with few extra pounds that you might call fat would still look attractive and beautiful in fashionable designs and outfit, but I doubt that it would have enough followers to make it attractive for fashion designers and marketers to bring it back as a new trend.

God forbid!!!! That will be a day that will never come...... It does not matter if the lady is attractive or not is is also about health issues...... Think about it most people that have heart attacks are fat people...... And we do not need any more fat people in the world...... There is already enough right now and that is still too much..... It is not attractive to be fat and that is the point..... You dont see any celebs that are very fat because they all want to be sexy and just the right weight...... They try to lose weight even if they went 3 or 4 pounds over their usual weight...... So no I do not think and I hope that it does not become a fasion to be fat......

The introduction of the "PLUS" size is a sure indication that the fashion industry is well aware that "fat is beautiful!"
Because of genetics, some women are just bigger (rounder)than others. Personally, for as long as they feel comfortable with their figure, then they look beautiful to me as well. It is their positive outlook that makes them attractive and fashionable. IF they are not self-conscious of their size, then neither should the onlookers.

It was then. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes back to fashion. Afterall, the world is becoming conscious of emaciated models and campaigning for full figures in the catwalk.
In the world of fashion, everything comes, goes and comes back again.

Yes and it already is in certain parts of the world. I think it is the consensus to believe that thin is better due to people of a larger size (I hate the word fat) being under risk from heart disease. Then again on the other hand, really thin people can suffer cardiac arrest too. Society state being thin is better (which is crap) because the clothes on models hang better (rubbish). I'm quite thin compared to my friends and there are soooo many clothes that look better on them.

It is subjective.
I am attracted to big fat intellectual men for some inexplainable reasons.lol. true though.
They are also humans like us. So it may or may not become fashionable someday.

It never has before this and I pray it never will! What would make you think it might change? Although the world has become rather obese, by and large, who is it that is genuinely interested in becoming fat? Despite several endocrine problems people may suffer from the majority are fat/obese because they cannot and will not control their eating habits.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
In Victorian times it was considered very attractive to be fat as it was a sign of good health and wealth.
the way the nation is going, to be thin will for sure place you in a minority

It should be fasnionable right now.
I like overweight women alot more than slim women. I am always wondering why you never see overweight women in commercials for clothing and fashion.
All women(or people for that matter) should be recognized in this day and age for who they are and/or what they do regardless of what weight they are.
