The earth will end when some disaster, man made or natural catastrophic event, happens to destroy it.
I do not adher to a religious end of time.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.
Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).
The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.
Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.
Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

Depends what you mean by the world ending.
For you? When you die as far as anyone can prove.
For Humans? If it becomes uninhabitable. Whether this be through climate change from our own doing, or causes out of our control. Perhaps some super-virus will wipe us all out when we don't even see it coming.
The actual planet? Contrary to lots of fear-mongers, the earth is fine. We can bomb, pollute, shape, and destroy it all we like, in time that'll all correct itself and we'll be long gone if history is any teacher. They are just scared because we're changing it in ways that may or may not affect us. The earth will be destroyed when the sun grows closer to its red giant phase and the heat and proximity to the sun would burn away our atmosphere and make the planet barren (assuming our understanding of the life cycle of a star is correct).
Anything beyond those are mere speculation and cannot be proven or disproven. Believe in an afterlife? Then it may never end. Believe in reincarnation? Well if that's on a linear timeline then when the earth is destroyed. If it's not on a linear timeline, then never. Don't believe in the afterlife? See the first answer above.

The world will end approximately 5 billion years from now when our sun goes supernova.
If you are referring to when the end of man will occur, noone knows.
You can spend your time on Earth in any manner you wish.
We as humans could survive the end of the world by developing technology that would enable us to not be here when the supernova happens.
And Brahmanyan makes a very good point about a persons individual world.

According to the Mayan calander in 2012. According to Nostradamus in 3035. Now the hard part is figuring this out. The Gregorian Calander changed our perception of the passing of the years to coincide with the birth of Christ. What if 2012 and 3035 are the same time? But I digress, your question was how do we survive? By learning to live without all the dependence on modern conveniences. Hunters and farmers will have the advantage if there is catastrophe.

when do you mean for you or for all life on it. When you die naturally the world ends for you as it does for everything in the end. The suggestion of my friend is that the planet will die with the coming aliens however I think that the planet will die with the expansion of the sun. There are many years to go, billions yet. With that knowlage you should live in piece. If you want to waste your life, live in nothingness, remove your goals and sink into depression. There is no way of permenant survial as of present.

No one knows when the world ends except for the god. There are so many ways to waste our time and the best one is sitting in front of your laptop and asking some silly questions and wait for some silly guy like me to answer it.And there is no way for a survival unless some SUPERMAN saves our planet .
