Do you use the hard 'T' or silent 'T' and why?

Apparently both are correct, although better educated people pronounce the 'T'.

Silent T is commonly used, Hard T is also acceptable though not used OFTEN by people.

I say it with the silent "T", because that is the correct way to pronounce the word.

Its "OFTEN" sounds like "OFTURN" NOT "OFF-TEN" English has always been a strange language Like a "C" is a krr sound but also its a sss sound!! very strange!!!
