My Dad is completely on another planet and my mom visits Earth from time to time.

My parents are on another planet. They are old fashioned and tradition. They tried their hardest to be open minded. They just don't understand the society i live in. But i love them though

just because parents are on another planet doesn't necessarily mean that you can't tell them anything.
however, understand that parents have their own baggage. It isn't like people get a degree in being a parent (probably should be a requirement before one is permitted to even think about sex...)

Now that all of us kids are in our 40's, we are friends with our parents and all on the same planet. Not so, however, during our turbulent teen years. Whew! Glad those years are behind me...

I have always been able to tell my parents ANYTHING!! We have always had a great open relationship!! It has made me a honest person now as a adult I think!! But I know most parent/child relationships are not like this!!

Sometimes I feel like I don't have parents hauhauahu, you know when you're telling things that happened with you and you feel that nobody is paying any attention, I stopped trying to talk with my parents.... I prefer to talk with a friend than talk with my parents, but even they treating me this way I love they!!!
