No matter what life gives us, take it even-handedly, with a good sense of humor. This shows strong character and you can always get justice later. Don't be impulsive or undisciplined, that will get you no where but jail and a poor reputation. If a man needs to, it's okay to cry--just don't make a habit of it. Learn as much as you can, it's not cool to be dumb; and yes, there is a Hell, so stay away from it.

Being joyful is probably a must to be happy - it's great to have a laugh too. But seeing the funny side in situations, if we can & having a good sense of humour when things are not going so well will be good for us too.

We have our families, who are given to us, but friends are the family we choose for ourselves. It makes life much more fun & interesting to have social gatherings, interests & some good laughs with family & friends. It can be a great stress reliever too.

It's nice to have supportive people in our lives. Friendship is also a form of love.

I think all of the emotions you have mentioned are very important to express, just in different amounts. Such as; it is important to let our anger and our depression out, but that doesn't mean I want to be angry or have a crying fit every day. However, I do think it is very important to be happy and try to laugh several times a day if possible. It's a fact that laughter keeps you younger too.

Good question though, you have a good day and keep smiling.

Of course the ideal emotion to experience all the time would be 'happy and joyful', but I do not believe anyone is happy all the time, some are more than others of course but life gives us times and reasons to get angry and sad.
In my opinion we need to express all of our emotions, to talk about our feelings to someone and hopefully we get more positive experiences in our lives and can be happy more. Having a positive attitude can help us to look at life in a way that makes us happier more of the time.

Not letting yourself and your life being controlled by emotion is more important. Too much of one or another will cause you to suffer.

From your list - I select "being depressed every so often and letting it out (crying)" !
However , there's a way to feel and live - you haven't touched!
This is the way of contemplation , sympathy , faith , restraint , hard work and zeal !
My way!
(And way of numbers of people!)
