There should be no particular measure of how many chapters or how many pages per chapter (and to take your thought(?) process further, no set number of paragraphs per page or sentences per paragraph). I suspect you lack even the rudimentary knowledge of writing. All these sorts of divisions of text are supposed to represent breaks in the presentation of thoughts. Once you have communicated a thought properly, you stop. A sentence represents one thought, the paragraph represents the group of thoughts representing the basic idea. The paragraphs fit together to communicate a message - whether it is a specific event or closely related events in a story, which might be a good place to let the reader pause (i.e., the chapter break).

Well it truly depends. Are you writing a gossip girl book like? Is it an airhead pop book? Then probably about 200 pages. About 5 pages per chapter. But if you writing a girly thriller or a teenage thriller, about 350-400 pages and 10 pages per chapter.

The number of chapters in a book can vary, the number of pages or even words can vary. It is possible to have a one word chapter.

Sometimes authors use a chapter as a play would use a scene--it creates a break when the characters move to another location.

You might want to get involved in a writer's workshop or take a writing class to help you get started. Good Luck.

It varies. The word count is more important - generally you're looking at a minimum of 50,000 words.

You might try participating in Nanowrimo - http://www.nanowrimo.org/ - there are forums and people to help and offer suggestions. Even if you don't finish it can be a good experience.

It depends on you. If you wanted it to be longer, then, more chapters.
