some girls are well educated but prefer to sell their bodies for money that is already provided to them by their parents. One lady claims that the people who prostitute come from family back grounds wehere they have been either molested, ignored or harassed. Is this true or is it by choice coz i know of people from worse family back grounds and they are well respected people.

I don't think you would find many well-educated and brought up prostitutes who have plenty of money provided by their family. If a girl from a good, rich family becomes a prostitute it is usually the result of drugs, or as you said abuse of some sort. Some girls who are well educated...well maybe prostitution just pays better than other opportunities. But then again some might just like the sex, and it's their choice what they do with their bodies.

Prostitution has a very long history and may very well be the second oldest profession. For most of that history, it was not associated with drugs, molestation or abuse. These only become factors in repressive societies where it is illegal.
There is no real reason for prostitution to be illegal, this is a definite hold over from trying to enforce a set of morals through civil laws. Also there is no reason to look down on prostitutes as that is the result of social norms built on years of religious teachings starting from St Augustine but that are not globally shared.

First, I think Hell is what you make it. Personally, since you don't have any control over your feelings or emotions or attractions, I wouldn't worry about it. I myself believe that if God knows and sees all, He also understands all. I'd suggest you and your roomie have a good cry together. Life is complex and full of roller-coaster rides like this, and missteps while trying to live up to others' expectations. Guys don't normally have sex with other guys just because a boy-girl date went sour. You should know that 100% of gays are the product of a heterosexual mating, and many grew up in fundamentalist religious homes. Some are even the offspring of pastors. If you're not gay, you're at least bisexual. And whether you're in love or just very much emotionally attached to your friend (and vice versa), you feelings are what they are and nothing to be ashamed of. You're both still finding your way and learning about yourselves and others and shouldn't be so hard on each other (or yourself). And yes, love definitely hurts often. It may be in your best interests not to be roommates in the future, but that doesn't mean you can't still be best friends. You share too much not to be. Hug, apologize, cry together, talk openly and honestly, show him this question, etc. After that, what will be will be. You won't really die, but you will be wiser.

There are many ways of gaining money from the sex industry, including domination, where there is rarely any contact.
With the right business acumen, a lady could earn in excess of £180 an hour, have a members website, sell films, telephone chat lines,and other goods and make an unbelievable amount of money.
With some, I believe it is down to abuse when younger, yet in others it can be a calculating business move.

Because they see that they can make a lot more money that way than by getting some crappy job in an office or store. Also, maybe it's to rebel against the conservative morals of their parents or schools. It's not something I would ever do, but I don't see what's wrong with it if that's what you want. There's certainly a market for it.

your assuming that prostitutes aren't respected. i'm sure the why of it all is different in each situation. it could be because they were thrown out of their homes by their parents and they are trying to survive and this is the only way they know how. it could also be an issue of "could i do it, could i get away with it" etc.

Some girls might do it to get a sense of indentidy..Or like you say to get over things like abuse, rape, negelct, spiritual/emotional/racial/financial abuse. Maybe some girls enjoy sex as many do and do it for fun. Some do it for more money. Some want adventure in their life. Some just like it. Some are good and passionate about it and want to increase their skills

A lot of that is true and some people just do it because they want to sadly and you don't know what's going to happen to them some just want some attention that has been neglected from them when they were younger or very previously in their life.

Most of them came from very poor countries so they are here because they need money and the flesh trade seems to be the best choice.

i think its by choice cause no matter how molested or harassed someone has been its still the CHOICE that makes the difference.
