No I wouldn't, we had a drug problem in our area a good few years ago, cars pulling up on the outskirts of the village and dealing drugs, we got sick to the back teeth of it, did some observation for the police and they were arrested, we went to court as witnesses even though we were threatened by these dealers, not afraid of scum or their threats.

*thinks* erm..... that depends on the following:

1.) am i the victim of the crime, or just a witness?
2.) what type of crime was it? (are we talking a boosted car or a gangbang or a mob hit?)
3.) am i going to be offered police protection around the clock if it is the later of the options in #2?
4.) do i have to testify in court during the trial if i do come forward?
5.) is someone i know the perpetrator?

okay here are my answers:
1.) If its 'victim' then NO, i'm not saying anything. if it's witness, then YES i would.
2.) if it was a boosted car: YES i'd say something. if it was a gangbang or a mob hit (lol) erm...... it would take a lot of persuading to convince me that i wouldn't be the next target, (retaliation) but YES i would say something, most likely depending on the outcome of #3.
3.) IF it was the later of the options in #2, and If there was no guarantee, i'd weigh my options, and leave this at, honestly, MAYBE. if there was a gurarantee, then YES, i'd say something.
4.) If so, then YES i'd still say something.
5.) Even so, YES, i'd say something, but ask them to turn themselves in so i didnt have to.

No, I would NOT be afraid. As a matter of fact I did witness a house break early this year. I just went to court for this last month. I can't believe it but the guy actually plead guilty as soon as he saw me walking into the court room. The big thing that got me about this is that the victim (home owner) didn't show up as he felt well he got his property back so he was content. This guy could have walked.

No..if something i witnessed can save some one else, clear a person or even catch the bad guys..i'd step forward and render my help...
If you're gonna be scared all your life about what is going to happen...you're never going to make it.
I believe in karma..what goes around..comes around..if it were me..i'd definate want all the help i need...

No I would report it.....If people start turning a blind eye this is when the whole legal system finally collapses and crime would pay.......there are protection systems in place that if that person felt they would be at risk that they could use......so there is no excuse.....

I wouldn't be afraid to be a witness but I would demand anonymity.

No! I wouldnt get involved for fear of my life but I would ring the guards immediately and would have no fear of making a statement at a later stage!
