Ok for about the last week, I've been feeling like total crap & for some reason I have to pee every morning around 6:00 a.m. So I woke up this morning & went to the bathroom, but when I sat down I started bleeding....really bad. Not period blood either. I know for a fact it's not my period because I'm not supposed to start for another 2 weeks.

I just recently stopped taking Kariva 28 day birth control, I read the lable and it said that I could have some spotting after stopping the pill....but the blood is not anywhere near what seems to be spotting.

I also keep getting very small, very painful pains in my lower abdomen. I know all of this sounds gross but if somebody could help me out & give me some adivce as to what it might be?

Thank you!!!

Well, if you are certain it's not menstrual blood then there is only one or two other places you can get bleeding from in that area. You may well have a raging UTI, and if it gets bad enough, you can urinate what appears to be straight blood. That would account for not feeling so well this past week and the pains in the lower abdomen. A raging bladder infection would give you both. You need to visit the doctor, that's all there is to it. The only other possible explaination is hemorrhoid, but I think you might notice other problems you didn't mention. It could also still be a period, in spite of the calendar calculations. So determine where your bleeding is coming from. Vaginal bleeding, even heavy- is a period, and possible you are miscarrying. Blood in urine is an infection. And blood on the toilet paper is hemorrhoidal.

It sounds like breakthrough bleeding as a result of discontinuing the birth control pills. Don't panic. Do the same things you would if you were on your regular period. Your hormones are out of whack which is what is causing all of the bleeding. Just take something for pain and drink plenty of liquids and ride it out.

That sounds serious, and you're not going to get a serious or even a professional diagnosis from any of us weirdos on Y!A. Just go to the doctor, and do it asap...abnormal bleeding is never a good thing for a woman, ever!

you MUST see a GYNECOLOGIST the soonest you can...

some bleed even when its not their period yet. i experienced spotting and bleeding at the same time suffering from menstrual cramps just 2 weeks after my period but it turned out it's a monthly (it was bimonthly after all) period...

but since you say you were on a pill, you better see a gynecologist... its the BEST we could say to you... and we hope you GO right away...

in the fast term and in the long term i might propose some homeopathic treatments yet once you do no longer know homeopathy you need to hunt for the help of a approved functional Homeopath. No gynecological bypass to is mandatory, yet they're going to ask you quite a number of questions on your familiar well being.

This could be a bladder infection but the only way to know for sure is to see your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.
