Bon Jovi was on SNL last week, and I made a special point to listen and find out why he had such a following. I was clueless at the end of the show. But there was one thing I was sure of---he's not a classical artist. Pretty much a rock artist, unless the definition of "classical" was changed when I wasn't looking.......

There are better rock artists out there. I was unimpressed.

You are joking, right? Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams - please. They aren't even that significant in "Classic Rock" history. Masterpieces? They created no masterpieces. I think you need to broaden your horizons a little.

Many are discovering beauty and soothing power in Indian Classical music: worth a try! Quite a few good musicians, on instruments like flute, violin and other stringed instruments, and vocal: fusion music provides scope for global models, finding merging points for different systems of music.......But, yes, Bryan Adams certainly is among the top order!

"what is your favourite classical artist?" shouldn't it be "Who" ?
And by the way, this section is for classical music, stuff like Mozart and Beethoven, not the over-produced, over packaged "Thing" that they flatter themselves as calling it "pop music". also, Bryan Adams sings out of tune.

I think Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen are true classical artists in that sense.

Leonard Cohen is my favorite, I think if you would compare Bryan Adam and Cohen, Cohen contributed more to that type of are of music.
