If Gore says polar bears are drowning based on no evidence whatsoever, I consider it a total and utter lie. Anyone can claim that, and just because it's in a movie doesn't make it the truth.

Actually I don't care about global waming but don't tell me it's not politcal. If I disagree with any other theory of science it's not hated, right? Except evolution, of course (also politicized).

Liberals only tell convenient lies. They have no respect for factual rebuttals. Liberals think "fact" is a four letter word...(you know what I mean) haha!

The judge who ruled on whether or not the film was adequate for screening in UK schools noted nine(9) EXAGERATIONS. Not errors, not lies. He said an excess of zeal in describing certain situations MIGHT lead some careless (my word) viewers to assume that the predicted results were imminent. Nevertheless, the judge saw no reason not to approve the film for viewing in schools.
Truth seeking is not a question of political allignment but of personal honesty.
It is a matter of factual truth that can be corroborated by listening to his speeches that Mr. W. Bush does not how to pronounce the word nuclear. It is a matter of factual truth that he does not know the difference between ¨drugged¨and ¨dragged¨ or between the countries of Austria and Australia or between the international organizations of OPEP and APEC. Does he,one wonders, know the difference between right and wrong?

Yes Al Gore is a factual error but the truth is that global warming should not be about liberals or conservatives and sorry to say it this is an issues that is beyond politics. Something is happening to the earth and the people on it. Today there are more cases of Asthma than any other time in the world history. Quality drinking water cost more than a gallon of gas, and food is becoming more and more contaminated. This all ties into of planet and how we take care for it. Do we trash it for further generations or do we take steps to limit our impact on it and go beyond politics by making our mark for the next generation.
“Defenders of the short-sighted men who in their greed and selfishness will, if permitted, rob our country of half its charm by their reckless extermination of all useful and beautiful wild things sometimes seek to champion them by saying the 'the game belongs to the people.' So it does; and not merely to the people now alive, but to the unborn people. The 'greatest good for the greatest number' applies to the number within the womb of time, compared to which those now alive form but an insignificant fraction. Our duty to the whole, including the unborn generations, bids us restrain an unprincipled present-day minority from wasting the heritage of these unborn generations. The movement for the conservation of wild life and the larger movement for the conservation of all our natural resources are essentially democratic in spirit, purpose, and method." Theodore Roosevelt

It may be the latest evidence of global warming: Polar bears are drowning.
Scientists for the first time have documented multiple deaths of polar bears off Alaska, where they likely drowned after swimming long distances in the ocean amid the melting of the Arctic ice shelf. The bears spend most of their time hunting and raising their young on ice floes.

Polar bears drown as ice shelf melts
Will Iredale
SCIENTISTS have for the first time found evidence that polar bears are drowning because climate change is melting the Arctic ice shelf.
The researchers were startled to find bears having to swim up to 60 miles across open sea to find food. They are being forced into the long voyages because the ice floes from which they feed are melting, becoming smaller and drifting farther apart.

Polar bears drown, islands appear in Arctic thaw
Polar bears are drowning and receding Arctic glaciers have uncovered previously unknown islands in a drastic thaw that is being blamed on global warming.
Signs of huge changes are appearing around the Arctic region due to unusual warmth.
Rune Bergstrom, the environmental adviser to the Governor of Svalbard, a Norwegian archipelago about 1,000 kilometres from the North Pole, says islands as large as 300 metres by 100 metres have been revealed.
"We know about three new islands this year that have been uncovered because the glaciers have retreated," he said.
The head of England's Scott Polar Research Institute, Julian Dowdeswell, says that during a trip this northern summer he saw polar bears that had apparently been stranded at sea by melting ice.

The "Inconvenient Truth" is that all of Gores facts in actuality are fallacies.
Roy W. Spencer the expert on the climate and one of NASA's own. Also Mr. Spencer teaches at the University in Huntsville, Alabama. You may read his updated theories and he also points out that he does not work for big oil.

It has 9 inaccuracies - they are not necessarily lies - some have been considered exaggerations or extrapolations.
Not one of them refers to the existence or cause of global warming - only it's expected effects. Since we have not seen those effects there will obviously be subjective bias in any presentation of what to expect.
Since the same ruling to which you refer, described An Inconvenient Truth as "broadly accurate" and presenting a message "supported by the weight of scientific opinion" I would say it is your attempt to smear Gore and the movie that is most dishonest.

Small inaccuracies do not make the thesis or main point untrue. The British court that reviewed the inaccuracies said the film is:"substantially founded upon scientific research and fact"

they are not factual errors. He was told beforehand that these were not true. But, there is no shock value in the simple facts, so Gore exaggerated and lied.

you must be very young, or you live in a bubble. or perhaps you're just grabbing at straws this morning in order to argue agaist liberalism. "factual errors," or a matter of opinion?
any decent lawyer (ahem), will tell you he can get five experts into court to argue either side of a case.

Ever been to Alaska? I didn't think so. I don't think your generalization is accurate and nor does it apply to all liberals. Short answer is: no. Meanwhile there is still hope your president can win the Nobel WAR PRIZE.
