Anyone who's watched any TV or visited any news sites on the internet has probably seen the video of Ellen having a break down over her adopted dog, Iggy, which she received from Mutts and Moms adoption agency.

Ellen adopted the dog but allegedly signed a contract stating that she could not give the dog away, she could only give the dog back to the adoption agency if she wanted to give it away.

Ellen then decided to give the dog to her stylist, apparently not aware of the contract.

The dog was then recovered from her stylist and returned to Mutts and Moms adoption agency.

Since then, Mutts and Moms has apparently given the dog to another family, and will not return the dog to Ellen or her stylist.

Do you think Ellen is over reacting to this?

I think it's stupid that they took the dog back personally, I'm sure they have plenty of other dogs that need homes. If this dog was in a good home and being cared for they should have left it.And Ellen has stated there never was a contract...whether there was or not really we do not know......but as I said before the dog was safe and cared for, and they have others...those are the ones that they should be considering and finding homes for.So to answer your question, no I don't think Ellen is completely off base but I do think Mutts and Moms are.

That contract exists cause people like to give pets as gifts, which is a bad idea. A pet is a huge responsibility, you can't just give something like that to someone. On the other hand it did go to a loving family so it shouldn't have been removed, just a re-negotiation with the new family. However, the fact that Ellen decided to use her show to do what she did was awful. I'm happy that they did not get intimidated and give in. So to answer, yes she over reacted but so did the pet shelter in a way.

I don't think she is at all..I mean come on she breached a contract..okay she did wrong..but this dog was with a good family who loved this dog..the dog was happy along with the family and then they decide oh well we are taking the dog anyways and putting it in a new home once again..give me a break..this poor dog..I feel so sorry for this dog but worse I feel sorry for the kids

To make matter worse the dog shelter threatened ellen, saying that if they didn't return the dog by a certain time they are going to the media..seems like they are the ones who are in the wrong, not ellen..she didnt start this until they threatened her..I don't really care for ellen that much but I am taking her side on this one

She's obviously using her television show as a bully-pulpit in an attempt to pressure the pet adoption agency into yielding to her will.

Ellen is funny, to be sure; but I've lost a lot of respect for her over this episode.

Yes. When I first turned on her show and saw her crying I thought someone had died. Sure I felt bad for the little girls having to give the dog back but they only had him for a couple of weeks. It's not like they're going to be scarred for life. They can get another dog. It's nothing to get hysterical over.

Her behaviour is certainly odd and why the hell would you give your Dog away for Ellen if you love it and signed a contract of not wanting to give it away for?

She's blonder than me.

Hell yeah she's overreacting.

It's not about the silly contract.

It's about the fact that this problem is so insignificant yet she makes it such a big deal. She needs to get over herself.
**** happens and worst goes on than Iggy getting taken away.

I can see both sides of this, but yes she was wrong to use her show as a forum to dispute a personal matter.
She signed a contract, and should have abided by it.
I believe she was using her fame to get out of a situation that we as regular people would have been held to.
I'm glad that the adoption agency wasnt intimidated by this.

I think she was genuinely sad and upset, but I dont think going on the air crying like that was going to ever make things better.
