Anyone who's watched any TV or visited any news sites on the internet has probably seen the video of Ellen having a break down over her adopted dog, Iggy, which she received from Mutts and Moms adoption agency.
Ellen adopted the dog but allegedly signed a contract stating that she could not give the dog away, she could only give the dog back to the adoption agency if she wanted to give it away.
Ellen then decided to give the dog to her stylist, apparently not aware of the contract.
The dog was then recovered from her stylist and returned to Mutts and Moms adoption agency.
Since then, Mutts and Moms has apparently given the dog to another family, and will not return the dog to Ellen or her stylist.
Do you think Ellen is over reacting to this?

I think Mutts and Moms are the ones over-reacting honestly, the dog was in a good home and well taken care of.Ellen states she did not sign a contract and they have yet to produce proof that she did.She gave the dog away because it caused a conflict with her cats, some animals do not get on well together and it's in the best interest of all involved to move it on to a better environment. I think the shelter should have left the dog where it was and concentrated more on finding good, loving homes for the other animals in it's care.

I really like Ellen. I don't watch her show though. It doesn't surprise me she reacted the way she did on her show because Ellen loves animals. She blames herself and feels guilty over the whole situation. But, she signed a contract and has to abide by it. Mutts ans Moms should let the stylist have the dog. Ellen would not have given the dog to them if she didn't believe it was a good home. But, Mutts and Moms have a right to do what they want with the dog. This is going to hurt Mutts and Moms business

Well, she certainly acted a bit.. peri-menopausal there, but in all fairness, come on! Mutts and Moms is an adoption agency for pets. Getting a dog from an adoption agency is expensive and although Ellen is not hurting for money it doesn't mean it has any less value.
Adoption agencies pick up mutts for free and then turn around and sell them...yes, by buffering costs of vaccines -that such agencies receive discounted bulk rate on, cost of "fixing" and "handling" and all other additional costs built in so that the "adoption" costs $3,000.00, is in effect "Selling" a product it received for free.
Ellen shouldn't have gone to such a place to begin with. The Humane Society, although they also charge, is a much better place.
Ellen's second mistake.... why keep in touch after you got the dog??? I know that I wouldn't have and if they would have called me, I wouldn't have answered, and when I eventually would have, I would have said the dog's fine. It's none of their business.
I'm siding with Ellen all the way and I hope that Mutts and Moms suffers monetarily for this stupidity. This is Ellen for Pete's sake!! Everyone loves Ellen. And let's not forget that we need to love one another and care for dogs... not the other way around.

I don't understand why they took the dog from the stylist if it was going to a good home,I think it is a stupid contract and it should be changed and say something like the new owner must be house checked before taking the dog.I don't think Ellen was over reacting because she would of still been able to see the dog but now it's gone.

Well, she is famous so when she breaches contract, of course they are going to jump all over her. She did sign a contract though so she needs to just suck it up and apologize, but recommend to Mutts and Moms that the puppy stay with the hairdresser. I think giving the dog to a good family was much better than going to a center but that's just me.

I don't think so, I watched it earlier today, and I was sad of what happened. It is totally unfair, at least, she one of the very few celebrities, that is mature enough to admit she made a huge mistake.

Don't you think that this is just a publicity stunt to raise her ratings?
