I have a daughter with my boyfriend. We are not married. We will get married some day when we are both ready. I don't believe 2 people should just get married because they have a child together. I definately wouldn't say that most people get married because of having a baby. Maybe some.

Sort of.
When a women has sex she is pretty much committing to raising the possible child.
A man only commits to raising the child when he marries.
So whether the man marries because a baby's on the way, or marries because he's committing to a future baby, he's still committing BECAUSE of the baby.
Now if the question is "Are most women pregnant when they marry?" I think the answer is No.

hi yes unfortunatley there are a lot of couples that have gone and got married because of them having a baby ,and it is more common that there marriage dosent last as well ,but not all marriages go that way ,some manage to get through the hard years and find there way ,what is also thoughtis that if a couple have a baby togetherit will make there relationship stronger ,this is a pile of crap ,babies are real hard work 24/7 and no days off ,take care xx

Sure a lot of people do because they feel it's the right thing to do. I disagree with it however, having your kids see a forced and unhappy marriage/relationship doesn't really set a good example for them of what a good healthy one should be like.
I know a lot of people say they stay in it for the kids, but I don't think that is always the best choice. A child isn't going to learn what happiness in that aspect is if they grow up seeing a very unhappy one.

no it isn't true. not most people get married for this reason. however some do get married because they want to stay together for the kids. let me tell you, that should NEVER be why two people get married.

Yes many does that, I dont kno abt the other rest countries but in India yes many women does such a thing. They fear that either they solely cant take up the child's responsibilities or the child's life would be in turmoil after the parents seperation. Sad but true.

not most, but some. it really depends on the parents. if the parents are uneducated & complete idiots, they will surely go ahead and push their children off the cliff. all pregnant young women i happen to be acquainted of did not end up marrying their rich, stupid, lazy boyfriends

well thats most of the reason...cause they dont want the baby to end up like them.....or without a parents.......but there are times that men pregnent the women so she would have to be committed to him....

No I don't think so....I'm in my second long term relationship and was with both partners for years before babies were even thought about.

Not necessary. There are various cultures which do not permit sex before marriage.
