You can do that yourself, SHOULD be done a few times a yr, Its an easy job, You need a shop vac os a good house vac. If you can do the inside of the dryer also , This one of the chores I do for my customers every spring and fall,My cost for this $ 25.00 CAN> Why pay a lot of $$$ to a heating or A/C guy ? by the way they are the same guy. the plastic one,s are illeagle in most places.

You can do this yourself. There is an exhaust tube that vents from the rear of the drier to the exterior of the home. Take it off, clean it out, and replace it.
If you have a plastic tube, replace it with a metal one. The plastic ones create static electricity as the hot air flows on the plastic surface, causing lint to stick. So it will clog up faster.
The more the exhaust is constrained, the less efficient the drier will be, resulting in longer drying times and higher energy bills.
