I used to. I bought it. Too many people tried running me over. So I sold it. And, yes, I miss it.

Too many....
Since it has become "trendy" rather than "low-life" to ride a Harley, I have seen a huge surge in the number of rude, inconsiderate and self-involved types who lack riding "etiquette." It's like they have brought their pompous, better-than-you attitudes along for the ride.
Sure, there may be a few who don't fit the stereo-type, but I've been going to Sturgis & other bike events for a lot of years, and it pretty much holds true.
I know, my answer's gonna irk more than a few, but I owned a Harley when it wasn't "cool." I had "professionals" snub me years ago for wearing leather & riding a Harley, who now snub me because I love & ride an "old" Harley and do my own maintanance.

Most of the Harley riders I know are professionals. The ride with other professionals because they enjoy their company. The bike they selected is a status symbol, I believe.

Harley Davidson is a big marketing machine and attracts all kind of rider.
Most doctors stay from motorcycles, but if I had to pick one brand of bike preferred by doctor and lawyers, I would say it would be BMW.
If you are looking for a lawyer that rides a harley you can call this guy. Never met him or anyone from his firm, but they advertise on TV in my area: http://www.bikelawyer.com/

i own a sport bike shop and a riding club. our club is focused on riding smart and fast. many senior members are race instructors and or racers. We have only a few squid.
We have a few doctors and many many engineers. I would say in or club 70% of the people are eningeers and 10% in the medical field with the rest other.

I just bought my first bike in June of this year. My best friend, and I thought, "why not"? lol
we are both 'women' and professionals. we have met at least 15 other business owners who ride....it has been extraordinary! Not any doctors...lots of other professionals, surprisingly, lots of computer/techie types....lawyers, engineers, service men and women, but mostly 'small-large' business owners...
i think it is because when we ride...there is no other high that can compare! (besides, i can't answer my cell phone or pager when i ride!) BONUS! lol

I have been riding bikes for a long time and im the one that meets and talks to all riders and in my experiences I never meet many doctors that own bikes, but I do meet a lot of lawyers, and engineers that own HD's. It makes me think why would a engineer own a HD? I mean a HD is the last bike that's made with a high level of engineering, I mean when an engineer owns a HD, it kinda makes him look stupid
