I always ask stupid ones,but today there were a few things I actually wanted to know and hardly anyone answered

It may be that some people do not like answering anything that is too serious or too heavy as that would involved using your emotional intellect, logic and reasoning skills. Also, many of the people here are young and so may be incapable of answering your questions due to a lack of life experience.
Some people may answer questions that are easy and straight forward because they are too lazy or simply can't be bothered to take the time to sit down and write properly. They would rather answer a question that takes literally a second or so to write, rather than spend 5 - 10 minutes. Also, some people may just want to gain points so that they can brag to their friends... things may be different when they want to ask a question for some help, support or advice.
Sometimes, though, when people ask a serious question it may be that people need to think first about their answer before they write and it may well be that they will go back to the question at a later time.

it seems most people on here are at work and they want a few mins outta the norm , so they come here to escape , so answering a silly question passes the time that much quicker than answering a serious one

I believe that we will all know when someone is being serious as opposed to having a laugh. if i have my serious head on i ask a question in the relevant category. P&S to me is lighthearted banter with like minded folk who will be extremely intelligent as well as full of crazy notions. Have a good day everyone!

Some of the serious question are really personal and who are we to tell people what they should do or think.
