i see china, and Russia backing Iran when they attack Israel.
i also see n. Korea backing Iran and Iraq in their struggles with turkey.
and it would not surprise me if n.Korea attempted to launch a short range missile at the west coast of the u.s.
whatever happens were all dead.

Bush is following a path toward war. He hasn't the sense, nor does he care, that a major World War would unite most other countries against us. China, Russia and many Middle Eastern countries would form a giant coalition against us. I am not even sure of England as our ally. Gordon Brown is not Tony Blair. And we can count out South America or Canada.
We have no money. We are borrowing money. Our resources do not include a huge supply of oil that would be needed for a war and the Iraqi oil would be targeted by enemies. Our Army is depleted. A draft would be necessary. All we have left is our nuclear strength and, if this is unleashed, we endanger civilization and risk having a nuclear bomb explode on our own cities.
Do you want to see your family burnt and disfigured, those who have survived a nuclear blast? Have you ever lived without food, eating wallpaper paste and shoe leather, boiling up the family dog? Do you enjoy a holocaust of invading armies, arriving in such numbers only nuclear power would stop them, until the seas turn red with the blood of everyone nearby?
War is not a game, it is a dreadful reality that our Video Game and Soccer Field youth do not comprehend. I pray that World War III will never take place, and that George Bush fades into the obscurity of retirement before that holocaust begins.

What is wrong with you people. It sounds like you are longing to return to the stone age. WW III, if it were to happen would destroy civilization and kill a large fraction of the people on earth no matter where they live. That is why the US and Russia never fought it.

They are already grouping and alliances are already made, but when it gets nuclear, alliances will quickly fade too self preservation, America will be the first too use Nuclear, and will be destroyed in the eventual blow back, let's just hope that we can rid ourselves of this corrupt warmongering, oil lusting, government before that time comes to set up a new government that is really for the people.

China, Russia and Iran seem to be forming one block. The U.S., Europe, Austrailia, Canada appear to be the foundation of the other block.
------------------------------------------
Excerpt from today's edition of The World Socialist Web Site:
The political affairs of the last week bear an eerie resemblance to the Great Power rivalry at the turn of the twentieth century that preceded World War I. Conflicts over economic resources, strategic spheres of influence and colonial empires became more bitter and intractable. Clashes over competing interests in key areas of the globe led to complex diplomatic manoeuvring and shifting alliances. Eventually two military blocs were consolidated that came to blows over the Balkans and fought a savage war in which millions died.
It is of course possible that tensions between Russia and the US can be ameliorated. As he has proved in the past, Putin is more than capable of cutting a deal with the Bush administration that would, for instance, sacrifice Iran in return for a freeze on US anti-missile plans in Eastern Europe. But with the White House showing no signs of a compromise on either issue and growing evidence of US military preparations against Iran, dangers of a wider conflagration are growing. The resource-rich regions of Middle East and Central Asia, in which all the major powers are seeking to stake their claim, is emerging as the Balkans of the twenty-first century.
In his typically incoherent fashion, President Bush yesterday blurted out the preoccupations being discussed privately in the upper echelons of government around the globe. Hours after Putin called for renewed diplomatic efforts to resolve the Iranian nuclear crisis, the American president dismissed suggestions of a US-Russian rift, and restated allegations that Iran intended to “destroy” Israel. He then added that Iran’s nuclear programs had to be stopped “if you are interested in avoiding World War III”.
Of course, if there were no rift between the US and Russia, or other countries such as China, why is Bush even raising the issue of world war which, by definition, would involve the major powers? In fact, the deepening crisis of world capitalism is producing an intensifying global competition for raw materials, markets and cheap labour and fuelling the drive toward another world war. In this context, US imperialism is playing the most destabilising role, seeking to offset its long-term economic decline through the aggressive use of its residual military might in Afghanistan, Iraq and potentially Iran.

Many are banding together even vastly different cultures. I think we would get canada, australia, much of the EU. Russia and china would try for Iran and several ME countries.

England woudl side with the USA unfortunatly. Basically it would be America against the middle East, but it simply wont happen. It woudl require great coordination to launch an attack on the Western world - something which I just cannot see happening
