Ok so i've had my Xbox about 4 months and used my brothers since launch. From the games I played I liked Gears of War, Forza 2, Halo 3, GRAW, Pro Evo 6, and Oblivion which IMO are my fav games.
I have Pro Evo 2008 on order, and I'm set to recieve PGR4 in the post today.
Is their any great games I've missed and what really is the best game to date?

Apart from all the games that have been mentioned on the other answers, u shud get:
Jericho- looks awsome, played the demo
Bioshock- Best game ever, completed it.
Games that hav been mentioned and personally think are good:
Orange Box
Assasins creed
Call of duty 4 - Modern Warfare
Those are my top 6 that u havent got.

Halo 3 will probably be the best game out right now, but If your into the whole world of online gaming.
I highly suggest you getting Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare *included the link*
Assassin's Creed is going to be very hot *included the link aswell*
Another one that is pretty good is The Orange Box (Half Life 2, Portal, and Team Fortess) Get 3 games in one, but they are all worth playing.

My favourite was Gears of War, but I also really liked Rainbow six Vegas (although I played it for the pc, but it looks just as good for the 360).
Mass effect looks like its going to be a great game and also assassins creed looks cool.

Gears of War is the best multiplayer game. Gaylo just dont compare, I was bored in a week

I'm a girl like you and I'm a big fan of Rainbow Six Vegas, it's pretty cool but it's kind of old.

If you like shooters, you've got to give Bioshock a try. I can't put to words how awesome it is.
Also, Dead Rising is surprisingly fun. I mean, who doesn't like killing zombies?
