It is so annoying! A couple of my roommates and friends always ask me when am I going to get a boyfriend, or they would make a comment (in a negative tone of voice) saying that I need a boyfriend. They repeat the question everytime they see me, and it is so annoying. I am not in a rush, why do they not understand that? People have approached me telling me that I should model, so attracting a guy is not hard for me, but I just don't understand what is up with these people? They make me look bad by saying that I am single! I don't understand.

Don't buy their annoying comments, ignore it for it will just pressure you.You are in the right track of not rushing it.Having a relationship with someone is not a mathematical equation that we can have trial and error,it is something that when there's an error..you are willing to work on it.
If they are your friends then they need to realize that it's your stand and they should respect it than mocking at you.
There's nothing wrong with being single as long as you are happy with your life.

That's easy they want you taken so you are less of a threat to them and their boyfriends, a single friend is always a threat no matter how she looks.
How do I know, well when I was single a friend of mine was always paranoid because her boyfriend and I got on so well so much so that she began watching us both like a hawk and eventually accused me of being after her boyfriend. I was hurt by this as it is something I would never do but I understood because I knew that another friend of hers had done that very thing to her and the fact that the man she was dating was a married man didn't help either.
It really sucks to as I often found out that they had had little get together with other friends who were couples and I was never invited because I was single, paranoia at it's best I guess.
Don't let it bother you, live your life be happy and they will envy you all the more because of it because you know how to be happy with just yourself where as clearly they just have to have a man to feel complete. For me I did eventually find the right man but it took 14 years of being single before he came along and being single was the best time of my life until then. Good luck.

Don't let it bother you! and especially don't show it. Sometimes friends do that because they know that it bothers you. (maybe the look on your face, looks really troubled, after they make the annoying comment)
Don't feel pressured about finding someone. (your just waiting for the right person)
When you meet someone, it has to do with eye contact, smiles, and having something in common that you talk about, and enjoy that common factor together enough that you hit it off, (eye contact has allot to do with it, to become more than friends.) but if your looking, that person you choose as more than friends won't appear to your door without you helping to make it happen. Invite people you like, to do something fun, (a friend of a friend) then you can decide if you would even want that person to be with you, or if you hit it off, or not.
When you are committed to someone, it takes up allot of time, so be prepared for that.
Just be yourself and, and don't worry about it.

Because they are to scared of someone living a different life to them. People get in their head how "everyone should live" at what they should have done by a certain age. This knowledge to them is unquestionable because so many people agree with them. What they fail to realise not everyone is the same and we all have a choices and things that affected the person we are.
