So far it seems as if most of the French and Irish people will support us (and the Northern hemisphere), and most of the Scots and Welsh won't.
Hey....We've been intermarrying for centuries. We all have the same blood and ancestry now anyway. One of my best friends is Welsh, my cousin married a Scot, and I'm with a Geordie (North of Hadrians wall, so originally Scottish land?). We're all part of Great Britain.

Hi,
I am French, and I was at the Stade de France in Paris last Saturday.
You can understand how desapointed I was after the game.
But you know what ?
Yes, I will support England, our old ennemy in rugby, but our old brother.
If England wins, the Northern hemisphere wins, the 6 nations tournament wins.
Allez les whites !

No question the Irish. Heck the IRA was running terrorist attacks in Northern Ireland as recently as this decade. The Scottish and Welsh are both part of the UK (Northern Ireland also) with England so theirs is more of a rivalry. The Irish are the only country that has part of its population legitimately hate the English. it has to do with footie the same reason that Ranger and Celtic hate each other because of the catholic v protestant feuding. Football rivalrys extend far past clubs and national team players. The cuts run deep.

No.
Up to you who you support. I wont be supporting England because of the huge media overkill. During the second semi final for instance England was mentioned 8 times in the first ten minutes. And they weren't even playing. Bit annoying when one is not English.

Not a hope in hell...I would like them to win for the English players, they are all right and have done well to get this far, however we would not hear the end of it from the supporters and the English media, so C'mon the Boks!

No...is the short answer. I admire what england has done to get into the final...that is some achievement...but supporting you lot is about 40 steps too far.

I'm Irish and yes I will be.
But to be fair I want the team who plays the best in the showpiece game to lift the trophy.

I don't see why not, but I think you will mostly get people using it as an excuse to bring up grudges against England. It's a pity, it seems that you have people that support their own team and people that are more interested in another team losing. A little sad, but true.

I am Welsh (and proud of it)! I've never really supported England. I always support Scotland and Ireland. I think us Celts should stick together.
