It is my democratic right to vote. What is the point in not voting then sitting complaining about the government for the next four years?

Absolutely! Voting is a civic responsibility, but more than that, it is the chance for your voice to be heard. My theory has always been if you don't vote, don't complain, because by not doing so you become part of the problem, rather than part of the solution.
