We see most of the women r enemy to their own species and normally do not get along with each other. Eg. Saas Bahu relationship. No matter how nicely they behave with each other and adjust with each other or say they r like maa beti...but hv grude deep inside...baki sab adjustment...similary v c in mumbai local trains - its the ladies compartment where mostly females hv fights with each other for small small matters like why you touched my dress, hair...i getting disturbed by your hair etc etc. Then there is envy between two sisters, grudges between bhabhi nanand, competition between jethani-devarani and so on.....

Very true. But you must put up with that in order to have friends. There is no female friendship in which that does not exist. Females are especially envious when it comes to looks, that's one area all females feel competitive in no matter what they say even the brains. (i'm not in college, i've been out for awhile). It's a long term thing. I've lost many friends because of small issues and i suspect jealousy had to do with it 70% of the time. I would love to have female friends just to meet once a week and talk, do stuff, treat each other well then just go back to life then meet them again next week without too much involvement in every area of life because then they start to become competitive. Separate the life areas and don't mix friends.

It Jealous Issue
I was explain this to my man over the phone a while tonight
It like this When Skinny Girl is walking by in super market and man stares and there fat girl close by not getting any attention. In back of her mind he wonder why does they come talk her instead but yet there jealous because of you look. They wish they were in your shoes. Getting all the attention to be noticed. Instead of the other girl.
Another is women gossip and when they hear something they dislike they confront each other and can't take the truth and get in fight saying why are you talking smack behind my back. I thought you where my friend. When just using you for information so they can make them self feel better.

I think there are two [key] factors that have to do with the answer. (1) Women get jealous easily because they always want the attention to be on them, so whenever another woman is receiving more attention, they try to counter-act that. A very common way of doing this is to say something negative about the other person, usually behind their back, to make themselves more appealing. Ive found over the years that men and women relate and can talk to one another easier. Men are no different that women when it comes to getting along. Ive always heard that women gossip, but have you ever been in a place when there are mostly men? They are not any better than women when it comes to gossiping and stirring up trouble.

I have many sisters and the only thing that ever gets us into trouble is when we are impatient with one another or one is jealous of the other. So we try to avoid those situations and emotions as best we can. Having many sisters allows me to get along with most women unless they are crazy control freaks, then I try to steer clear of them.

In the indian society , the women are oppresive in the society since long. The nature of Oppresive parties are of the nature of showing supremacy over others in the same category. This is the inborn quality. OK.......

I like suven's answer above. The more unhealthy and oppressive a society is towards women, the more unhealthy and bitter it's women are. Here in the U.S., Mormon women are suffering an epidemic of severe depression and take Prozac to drug themselves.
