"you're just a flirt", while trying to get to know me better and im just taking it real slow while i figure out whether to trust him or not, does that mean he thinks im a tease or what?

May be. Be patient & wait more with great care while communicating to him. Do not provide any knowledge of any negative point of you if there exists any. Never go berserk while at lighter moments with him.

He is probably getting mixed signals from you and that is probably why he maybe thinking your a tease or a flirt.
