I should almost not call them dreams. What happens in these "dreams" is, I am laying in bed with my jaw CLENCHED and I can't do anything to spread my teeth appart. I use my hands, and every ounce of will power to open my jaw, but it just hurts. At the same time my teeth are so clenched that it causes great pain (lose/lose). I'm in my own body, aware enough to hate the pain, realize it hurts, but not enough to WAKE UP. They last for a while, so does the pain, and I just plain don't want to sleep incase it happens again. I seem to have these dreams randomly, in no specific pattern. I havn't eaten anything out of the ordinary any of the more recent times this has happened. I am currently taking no medication. If anyone has any insight they might be able to offer, please PLEASE help as I used to LOVE my sleep. Thanks again.

Recurring dreams normally indicate you have an emotionally upsetting event with someone close to you. Either family or close friend. Even your wife/hubby, if you have one. Is a situation you are quite upset about but seem to be helpless to have it change. The degree of tension you express experiencing would re-enforce this tendency. Is something you are unable to work out at the conscious level so sub-consciously, your mind is attempting to correct it.

It has become a trigger factor which can be eliminated, should you care to investigate this approach.

Jaw

To dream that you are in the jaws of an animal, signifies misunderstandings and hasty judgments, which may threaten your happiness.

To see your own jaw in your dream, represents your stubbornness, determination and forcefulness. You may need to have more willpower and fortitude in some situation. To dream that your jaws are tight, indicates unexpressed angers and other powerful feelings which you are holding back.
