The scale is 1:n

In the floor plan,

Area of master bedroom = (1.8 * 1.5) cm^2
= 2.7 cm^2

Actual area of master bedroom = 24.3 cm^2

n^2 = Actual area/Area in plan
= 24.3/2.7
= 9

n^2 = 9
n = 3

You say the answer is 300. I get 3. So there must be something wrong here.
I wondered from the start how a bedroom can only have 24.3 cm^2 area. Let's take 24.3 m^2, and see what happens.

1m^2 = 10000 cm^2
24.3 m^2 = 243000 cm^2

n^2 = 243000/2.7
= 90000

n = 300

So it must have been 24.3 m^2. Please check up.

EDIT: Told you so!!

i think the answer is 1:9 that n=9. make sure u check the answer correct. because all ur answers in cm. it is just 24.3cm^2/(1.8cm*1.5cm)=9.

hope it's right...

Actual measures of the bedroom are:
1.8n by 1.5n

Therefore, actual area of the bedroom = 1.8n * 1.5n
= 2.7n^2

Since, actual area of the bedroom is given:

2.7n^2 = 24.3
n^2 = 9
n = 3.00

(The answer is NOT 300. Maybe you wrote 3.00 as 300)
