There is a presumption that people with disabilities do not have sex and do not do stupid things like share needles. People with disabilities are penalized by the stigma of being thought of as too nice are disinterested to do things people without disabilities do.

So we couldn't possibly contract HIV/ AIDS now could we?

Hmmm, I've never heard of this but yes I agree with the above answer. It's seen as a preventive STD and some people feel God is punishing that person for having sex. I went to a church where one of my Sunday School teachers believed AIDS was a punishment for the gays. Otherwise he was a nice guy I just couldn't agree with everything he said and quit his class, lol.

ok some people have an opinion that ppl with HIV/AIDS did something to give themselves the disease, and by not caring for them, they are " punishing" these people, on some level. that is my opinion.
