Slim is a nice compliment. I think it implies that you are not deathly thin, nor do you have any excess fat.

Unfortunately, these days, thinness borders between slim and anorexic ., I guess "slim"goes back to the Audrey Hepburn and Lauren Bacall days of the 50s?

The beauty standards then meant women were thin without the added help of substance abuse.

To me, slim means thin but not disgustingly thin. Every person probably has their own opinion on this, as to how thin a slim person is. After I lost about 20 lbs, everyone told me I looked slim but that's just in comparison to how I was before because right now, I just average-sized. It's a compliment though, so be flattered!

Usually when a woman is referred to as slim, that means she is without shape. She is slim. Straight up and down. Turn to the side....yep, slim there, too. It's a step down from skinny. SKinny is a step down from curvy and curvy is a step down from full figured. Not like it matters. We are what we are and piss on all those labels.
