Chigga, you nailed it spot on!
The last thing we want is for another bloke to see it and chuckle. You just know that he's thinking you're a chump or gay. I mean, what is the correct etiquette for a man when he holds a girly bag anyway? Do you hold it with two fingers (almost like a dirty diaper) to let the world know that it really isn't yours? Do you hold it away from you or close? Or, heaven forbid, do you just hook it on your shoulders like you own it and love it? There should be a law against it i tell you!........

I don't carry a handbag with me, but I don't see what's the big deal about this. If your girlfriend needs to go to the bathroom or needs you to hold it for a moment for some other reason, why do you act like it's torture? Would you feel the same way if it was a shopping bag with sneakers?
If the man has a healthy self confidence then he won't have a problem with this. He'll just see it for what it is, a small favor for his girlfriend. The guys who are afraid of what everyone is going to think when seeing them hold a handbag must have a low self-esteem, are very immature or unsure about their sexuality.
When I see a man holding a handbag, I usually just assume he's holding it for his girlfriend or mother. I don't laugh at them. I would be more tempted to laugh if I saw a guy refusing to hold his girlfriend's handbag as if it was poisonous.
I don't think women should expect their man to carry their handbag all the time when they're out though. If they want to drag along a ton of things, they should carry it themselves most of the time and just hand it to their man for a moment when necessary.

nicely... Dean is a scripted character... he's an actor for a teach. i do no longer understand what you like yet no one's suitable so purely settle for some physique. via the way... you won't be able to be in love with a fictional character from a television teach continuously... the seasons of the teach will end quickly. Plus, it relatively is not his real factors he supplies out. it relatively is his way of appearing - 'courageous', and 'clever'... something you purely say how warm he's. He could be diverse in real life... the way he acts is for his activity and it relatively is scripted.

I see at the mall lots of guys who are holding their gfs handbags.... the guys don't seem to mind at all. The girls I think do this to "mark their territory" it seems. To me, childish.
I would never ask my guy to hold my handbag/purse for me. I can hold my own. He can however hold my bags from shopping though!

As a female.. i don't do this to my husband.. cause when i see guys in public holding their girls bag while the girl is busy doing something.. sorry .. but it makes me giggle!! It just doesn't look right. But in all reality i guess it really doesn't matter if the man holds it for a sec..

the question should be...Are you strong enough to handle holding a handbag for a lady? What's the big deal?
Does this threaten your sexual identity or manliness?

To the above poster...
Yeah, we say nothing, cause what are we suppose to say? But inside we're thinking "crap...I hope another guy doesn't see me"
Edit: I don't think it's necessarily about comfort with sexuality. I don't like holding my girls' handbag, but I don't have a problem seeing a transexual musical. And I got no issues buying tampons for her, I just don't like to hold her bag.

it must be a gud feeling that a lady trust u bcoz its not only money she keeps in her handbag but many other(which are too personal) things too.
when she gives her handbag to you more or less she is giving a hint that she is giving or can give her heart to you.

Oh what is the big deal? I hand mine to my husband all the time if I go to the bathroom or something in a public place. He just holds it and says nothing. You should do this for your lady too.
