When beautiful girls also do this.... What does this mean?

Most of the users say that Girls wear revealing dresses to get noticed. Ok I agree with that, but that is when the girl is not so beautiful than other but still want the attention of men will choose these tricks. But why beautiful girls/women also do the same when they can easily attract the attention even without exposing.

Don't tell that the dress is designed like that, they have no option than wearing it. Even the simple jeans, T-shirts also, they purposefully wear low and show-of.

Any thoughts about it. (Please don't give silly answers). There is some psychological reason behind it. I'm looking for such answers.

Yes Asha you are right. Even I think that beauty is there in the nature of girl not in her make-up. Whenever I see gals exposing (Even good looking gals also), I think why don't these people understand. That is the motive behind asking this question.

But some people here I think misunderstood my question and are talking about other things.

Evolution explains everything, the amazing diversity in life and the unity of all, including why women dress skanky even if they are hot. It is as intentional (although unconscious) as a peacock's dance. Women wear more reaveling clothes when they are ovulating its a fact, why?? Because they want to have sex or at least enterain offers there of! It is science bro!

The psychological reason is basic, simple and primeval.
The woman is addressing the males. She is advertising what she has for them and in doing so is creating an atmosphere of mating.
A woman wants a provider for her family and the seed just isn't good enough alone. There has to be a man that can insure the survival of her children. The man has to be able to provide shelter, food , and clothing for her/his family.
The man on the other hand wants a woman that looks like she can provide him with progeny. A lineage. A continuation of his life by his seed.
If the woman's body looks good then it must be healthy and strong. That means a survival rate of children is assuring to the male.The women know this instinctivly.
Women want assurance that the male will provide, the men want assurance that the female will provide. This is how it is accomplished, and this is how it has been accomplished for more than seventy thousand years.

Psychologist say women who wear provocative/revealing clothes are insecure and so need the attention of men to make them feel attractive and appreciated; thus they gain more confidence and self-esteem.

Women, say they dress provocatively because they have a sense of security about them, and feel confident in bearing skin. They claim they have more confidence than a woman who chooses not to wear revealing clothes. In fact, some go as far to claim that other women are frumpy.

The mentality is, "If you have got it, flaunt it." But they later complain when they are attracting more attention from men than they wish to receive. So I am confused...

I recall that years ago a similar answer to this one was, "Why do women wear make-up."

At the end of the day what does it matter? Women should be allowed to wear whatever they choose to wear without being discriminated.

Did you see the episode of Beauty and the Geek when they looked at this issue? They had the 'beautiful' girls dress up in horrid wigs and glasses and sweatpants etc and go to a nightclub and try to get guys to buy them drinks. No one looked twice at them because they weren't 'beautiful' anymore. They all felt like c**p and said they understood how the guys felt on a regular basis.

So they questioned why they dressed in revealing clothes and always had on a ton of makeup and figured out that it actually stemmed from low self esteem. They had gotten used to being accepted and admired for how they looked, so when that was taken away, they knew they had nothing left to work with. Not one of them could carry on a decent conversation.

So yeah, it was to get noticed, but it went further than that. It was to be accepted.

Not the most scientific explanation but it's all I've got!

According Psychology, women always wants to be attract the attention of others irrespective of sex it means men/women. So that they purposefully wear that kind of clothes.

For example take a guy, when you are passing on the road, when you cross a mirror beside from you , you may look or may not look into the mirror, or if you look into the mirror is just for a while or may be a second.

But in case of women it is different they will look all about their interior structure and all of the aspects. Depending on the color, physic and age their views may different to attract the attention of the people.

In any case is their main motto is attracting. So that they will wear that type of dress. it is human pyschology. Its common for anyone but in case of women it is little bit more.

Psychologically! It's enviousness, grudge, a painful resentment coming from somebodies good fortune or behaving or act. So, It's the maladies from girl to watch to the other sophisticated and exposing the opulence. ostentatiously, They would have feeling of inferiority by watching another portrayal worse looking girl, adorning with outrageous and exposing wears, like spaghetti's and short skirts and lingerie's etc. This is one psychological reason.
Second psychological reason is related to Guys, Guys would always like a girls that are free-minded, exposing, bold, stylish and modern. So, from provoked desire from guys is becoming a demand in modern era. And to sustain and survive in the sophisticated market they have to rich the demands of the final users Who is the grooms for marital relations and styriasis and lecherous males for extra-merital relations.

hi how about the reason being the same in any wild life situation ,that you have birds(the feathered kind )and all other breeds looking for a mate well isuppose that is what us females are doing ,but with clothes ,look we are no longer in the years gone by if a woman was to show her ankle it would be seen as her looking fir sex or a partner ,things have moved forward in the west side of the world and women and girls in the west have the freedom to wear what they want and how they want ,yet in the east part of the worl there are still areas where this dressing is frowned upon ,as with youre self you appear to not be impressed with the freedom that there is in the west ........take care xx

Why should a desire to get noticed be limited to' not so good looking' girls and not the beautiful,being a common human desire?It's like a rich person trying to get Richer,for what ever reasons,which may not seem logical but are very much there.

Well, I think, even a beautiful girl can go unnoticed if she wears frumpy clothing. Clothing does make a difference in the perception of a womanly figure. Additionally, they would get more noticed when wearing revealing clothing.

The way the media portrays women, makes some women think that men like them better when they look and dress like the women in the media. Not all "beautiful" women are like that, but a lot of younger ones are.
